Bubjo privacy policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

The short version

Bubjo stores your game progress so it survives a lost phone. That is the whole reason anything leaves your device.

Bubjo does not sell your data. Not to anyone, for any price. There are no ad networks, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics kits in the app. Your health data is never shared with anyone.

Who is responsible

Bubjo is made by Radek Padrta, an independent developer. If you have a question about your data, write to support@level-journey.com.

Your account

Bubjo makes an anonymous account for you the first time you open the app. You do not sign in, and you are not asked for an email. That account is a random identifier and nothing more. It exists so your hero has somewhere to live.

If you later choose Sign in with Apple, your Apple account is linked to that same hero. Bubjo receives whatever Apple chooses to send, which is an Apple user identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email. Apple's Hide My Email is fully supported. Signing in is optional. Everything in the app works without it.

What Bubjo stores

Only game state. Specifically:

What never leaves your phone

Apple Health

Bubjo asks to read your workouts, and that is all. Release builds of Bubjo never write to Apple Health.

Health data is never sold. Health data is never shared with third parties. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never used to build a profile of you for any purpose other than running the game you are playing. Apple Health data is used for one thing: turning a workout you already did into a battle you already fought.

You can turn this off at any time in Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Health.

Who else can see your data

Two companies, both as service providers acting on Bubjo's instructions:

Nobody else. Bubjo shares data with no advertisers, no data brokers, and no analytics companies.

Bubjo may disclose data if the law requires it, which has not happened and will be resisted where there are grounds to resist it.

Purchases

Bubjo Premium unlocks heroes and your full history. It changes nothing about how the game plays. Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's terms. Bubjo stores only the fact that your account has premium and which tier it is.

How long data is kept

Everything is kept while your account exists, and goes when you delete it. Nothing is archived somewhere else afterwards.

Deleting your data

You can delete everything. Open Settings inside Bubjo and choose to delete your account. Your profile, bosses, battles, and events are removed. Deleting the app alone does not delete data stored for a signed-in account, so use the in-app option if you want it gone.

If the in-app option is not working for you, write to support@level-journey.com and it will be done by hand within 30 days.

Your rights

If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the right to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, object to how it is used, and take it elsewhere. If you live in California, the CCPA gives you similar rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for using them. Bubjo does not sell personal information under either law.

To use any of these rights, write to support@level-journey.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

The legal basis for storing your game state is performance of the contract you enter by using the app. The legal basis for events and crash records is legitimate interest in making the app work properly.

Children

Bubjo is not aimed at children under 13, and Bubjo does not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given Bubjo data, write to support@level-journey.com and it will be deleted.

Where data is stored

Bubjo's database is hosted by Supabase in the European Union. If you use Bubjo from somewhere else, your data is transferred there to be stored.
